Awards & how it’s made
- Is Nanny Wendy’s fudge award-winning?
- Yes. At the Taste of the West Awards 2025 it won Gold for Lemon Meringue fudge, Gold for Cornish Sea Salt fudge, and Silver for Salted Caramel fudge. Taste of the West is the South West’s leading regional food and drink awards.
- How is the fudge made?
- It is made by hand in small batches in Bude, stirred the traditional way in open pans, then set and cut. Making it in small batches keeps the texture crumbly and the flavour fresh.
- What makes Cornish fudge different?
- Cornish fudge is known for a crumbly, butter-rich texture rather than a soft, chewy one. Nanny Wendy’s fudge is hand-stirred in small batches, which keeps that signature crumble.
Ordering, delivery & freshness
- Can I order online?
- Yes. You can order from nannywendyskitchen.co.uk and we ship across the UK. You can also build your own box or join the monthly Fudge Club.
- How much is delivery?
- We send orders via Royal Mail. Delivery is free on UK orders over £30. Orders placed before 2pm on a working day are typically dispatched the same day.
- Do you deliver nationwide?
- Yes. We post fudge anywhere in the UK. Customers regularly comment that boxes arrive quickly and in perfect condition.
- How long does the fudge keep?
- Our fudge has a best-before date of roughly 6 weeks from dispatch. Store it in a cool, dry place in its sealed packaging; once opened, enjoy within about 2 weeks.
- How should I store fudge?
- Keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, in its resealable packaging. Do not refrigerate it — the fridge can dry it out and spoil the soft, crumbly texture.
Build-Your-Own-Box & the Fudge Club
- Can I build my own box?
- Yes. The Build-Your-Own-Box lets you choose a 3-slab (£15) or 5-slab (£25) box and pick your favourite flavours, from Salted Caramel to Clotted Cream and Lemon Meringue.
- What is the Fudge Club?
- The Fudge Club is our monthly subscription. You receive a box of hand-stirred Cornish fudge each month, with 3-month, 6-month and 12-month plans. You can manage, skip or cancel at any time.
- Does fudge make a good gift?
- Yes — it’s one of our most popular uses. You can add a gift message at checkout, send a Build-Your-Own-Box or a Fudge Club subscription, or choose a gift hamper.
- Do you sell gift hampers?
- Yes. We offer small, medium and large hampers, available in store and online, and we can ship them anywhere in the UK.
Allergens & dietary
- Do you make vegan fudge?
- Yes. We have a dedicated vegan range (125g boxes) in several flavours. Customers with dairy-free diets review it very positively.
- Is your fudge gluten-free?
- Several of our fudge flavours are naturally gluten-free. Each product lists its dietary suitability, and you can filter for gluten-free options when building a box.
- What allergens are in your fudge?
- Our fudge contains milk and is made in a kitchen that also handles nuts, so it may contain traces of nuts and other allergens. Full allergen details are on every product and on the packaging.
- Can people with severe nut allergies eat it?
- Because our fudge is produced in a kitchen that handles nuts, we cannot guarantee it is free from traces. Customers with severe allergies should take this into account; detailed ingredient information is available on request.
Workshops, weddings & wholesale
- Do you run fudge-making workshops?
- Yes. We run hands-on fudge-making experiences where you make the fudge from start to finish with the team — popular for hen and stag dos, birthdays and group days out. Reviewers describe them as a real highlight.
- Do you provide wedding favours?
- Yes. We make wedding favours and event fudge with personalised packaging available. Contact us with your date and guest numbers for a quote.
- Do you supply fudge wholesale?
- Yes. We supply farm shops, delis and gift retailers, and we offer fully branded or white-label fudge. Visit our Corporate & Wholesale page or contact us to discuss.
- Do you do corporate gifts?
- Yes. We create branded corporate gift boxes for clients and staff, fully customisable. Get in touch via our contact form to discuss quantities and pricing.
